Does Netcelero work with all ISPs and connection types?

Yes, we work will all ISPs and technologies –all mobile networks and technology types. We would recommend the N3000 if one of your main connections is satellite.

Are there any speed limitations with Netcelero?

There are not really any limits….we recommend deploying a high gain omni antenna in conjunction with any Netcelero solution to ensure optimum 4G speeds.

How can I get more bandwidth for my business?

With Netcelero, you can simply provision an additional link from any ISP, or simply add one or more 4G connections for that extra boost in bandwidth. It’s also future proof, as the solution is technology agnostic, if your fixed line provider can upgrade your connection from DSL to fibre… happy days…you can now enjoy the improved speeds of your fibre line, combined with the hot failover to 4G in the event of any loss or degradation on the fibre line. You can monitor the speeds and performance of each individual line as well as the aggregated speed on your Netcelero analytics dashboard.

Can I use Netcelero for CCTV monitoring?

Yes, Netcelero is perfect for CCTV monitoring. It can radically enhance on-site connectivity by combining multiple connections into one seamless channel to increase capacity and resistance. Whether using two 4G connections, or even just one, in combination with a fixed line connection; on connection of links, a static IP is assigned which can be used to access the cameras directly- this enables remote connectivity for CCTV monitoring. For maximum resilience and speed, we would recommend that you use two different operators.

How is Netcelero different from other bonded solutions promising 100% uptime?

Which Netcelero solution suits my business needs?

The Netcelero N2000 Series bonds and aggregates up to six broadband connections with a Static IP, using any combination of ISP, wireless, fibre and fixed lines, even 4G Sims. This enables faster speed, increased bandwidth and guarantees hot failover, so if your business needs robust secure fast connectivity and a drop in connection just can't happen, this is the solution you have been looking for.
The Netcelero N3000 Series connects any one or more Internet connections with a Static IP – any connection type, even just a 4G SIM or satellite. Using the latest Intel processors with several layers of firewall, load-balancing and automatic failover of static IP, the N3000 is ideal for connecting to DVR/Cameras or to add an economical 4G automatic failover to your primary internet connection, to ensure a consistent secure primary and secondary connection for your business.

How is this different from load balancing?

When connections are bonded by Netcelero, your bandwidth increases to the SUM of the speeds of all available connections, the total bandwidth (both upload and download) is maximised so you get the benefit of more bandwidth, increased speed AND resilience.
When load balancing you are still restricted by the speed of a single link, and if this single link drops, the session is terminated…so any real time processing such as Citrix is dropped and the session needs to be restarted. If a link drops with a Netcelero bonded connection, any session is maintained through the bonded connection and processing is unaffected by the issue on one of the underlying connections.

How many links can I use in a Netcelero solution?

Bond up to 6 connections with the Netclero N2000 solution, using any combination of connection type. And unlike any other supposed bonding solutions on the market, none of the links needs to be fixed line. We can bond up to four 4G networks – providing a static IP across SIMs means fast enterprise grade connectivity is instantly available. Our solution is technology and operator agnostic meaning we can bond any connection type from fibre to wireless, DSL to dongle, from any ISP or Mobile Network provider.
Combine up to 3 connections with the Netcelero N3000 solution, none of the links needs to be fixed line – providing a static IP across SIM(s) gives you instant connectivity in any location. By combining a 4G connection with any fixed line connection, this provides an automatic failover to ensure you still have site connectivity even if your main connection has been wiped out.
Our solution is technology and operator agnostic meaning we can bond any connection type including satellite, from any ISP or Mobile Network provider.

What is the difference between Netcelero’s ‘hot failover’, standard ‘automatic failover’ and a ‘cold failover’?

With a cold failover, you will lose your connection to the any cloud based or real time services while the software, or a staff member transfers to your secondary connection.
Netcelero’s N2000 hot failover ensures continuity of cloud and real time services. It is self-healing and self-protecting to ensure your connection continues uninterrupted in spite of an outage or degradation on one of the connections.
Netcelero’s N3000 automatic failover ensures continuity of cloud and real time services – aside from a matter of second’s freeze of any real time service session when the primary connection drops, the session restarts on the secondary connection without any requirement for intervention. It is self-healing and self-protecting to ensure your connection continues in spite of an outage or degradation on one of the connections.

How does Netcelero’s N2000 solution 'bond’ connections?

Netcelero's N2000 Series bonds any connections, anywhere - it comprises a pre-configured Netcelero device on site, connecting to our unique cloud- based software to bond all connections and deliver its many benefits. Our unique proposal is in a different class to any other bonded solution - which are overcomplicated, requiring multiple routers, data centres, IP's and cannot even bond 3G connections, let alone 4G. Netcelero N2000 Series is the only true bonding solution for all connections - up to 6 connections, of anytechnoclogy, network or provider.

What speed can I expect from a Netcelero Bonded N2000 connection?

Netcelero N2000 solution will aggregate the actual speeds of the lines connected to the service minus a very small overhead. If for example you bond two broadband connections, one running at 15 Mbps down and the other at 20 Mbps downstream, the aggregated performance will be up to 32 Mbps downstream. Netcelero aggregates both the upstream and downstream bandwidth. Netcelero adjusts the distribution of packets to optimise performance of bonded connection. By adding a 4G SIM, this connection can be set to reduced usage mode…it becomes fully active, only if one of your main connections fails - this happens automatically and seamlessly. Alternatively if you find your fixed connections are not always adequate for your needs, by adding a 4G SIM the etxra speed/bandwidth/capacity can be used as and when it is needed. You can monitor the speeds and performance of each individual line as well as the aggregated speed on your Netcelero analytics dashboard.

How does Netcelero’s N3000 solution 'combine’ connections?

How does Netcelero deal with different latencies on lines, especially when I'm using different ISP's ie adapt to out of sequence packets?

Netcelero adapts to line latency and performance in real-time to optimize data throughput and to ensure packet order is maintained even over multiple connections.

Can I continue to use the DSL/fibre line for telephone calls, if I install Netcelero?

Yes.

Does Netcelero support VPN traffic?

Will Netcelero work outside of the UK and Ireland?

Yes, Netcelero can be deployed worldwide on any new or existing connection.

How can I manage my mobile data bill?

By setting your 4G connection to reduced usage mode you can ensure you use minimal mobile data when your main connection is working effectively. Only if your main connection fails, your business/connection to site will stay online through your mobile data…for as long as you need it. Managing mobile network data usage through the Netcelero Analytics portal is very easy as you can set alerts when a SIM reaches a certain threshold and also alerts that notify you of an unusual spike in the data usage…often an indicator of an issue on any of your primary links or malware presence. The portal provides real time and historical visibility of data usage on all individual connections, which puts you in control of your data.

What is ‘Reduced Usage Mode’ on 4G connection?

It is possible to set a connection into backup mode. In backup mode a very small amount of traffic is sent across the link to monitor and maintain the connection (~90MB per calendar month). All other traffic is sent out the other links.
In the event of the active links going offline all traffic is sent over the backup link. Once the primary connection returns the backup link goes back into backup mode thereby not sending more data than is required.

How will I know my main connection is down, if I have automatic failover?

Your Netcelero Analytics Portal gives you visibility of all connections at a site, no matter where you are. As part of your solution, you can nominate who you wish to be alerted (and by which communication method such as email or SMS) of any number of key performance indicators specific to your key objectives.

Will Netcelero boost the mobile broadband signal?

Netcelero optimises all data connections. When we deploy high gain omni antenna in conjunction with any Netcelero solution, 4G data connections are significantly boosted to ensure amazing speeds and reliability improvements. We can even install a high gain omni antenna for you!

What is the Netcelero Analytics Portal?

If you are managing multiple CPEs across different sites, Netcelero’s unique cloud-based customer portal provides invaluable remote visibility across your entire estate. This includes the status of every connection, networks, availability, data usage and a wealth of analytics.
